January, 2009 | Brad Christian's pad
If street magic as we know it today had a godfather, it would be Paul Harris. He consulted with David Blaine for his groundbreaking special, "Street Magic." Harris has inspired countless magicians with his philosophy and innovation. So when Harris released his epic, nine-disc set "True Astonishments," we wanted to be a part of the release.
Harris joined 13 lucky winners in Januray at Brad Christian's place for dinner, a lecture and even ice cream afterward. He spent time talking about magic, sharing stories and even blowing a few minds. The winners came from all over the country, Christian said.
"The people, that they would come from so far for this common purpose is quite moving," Christian said. "A lot of insights were gained during the time they spent at my place. Thanks for your dedication guys, and for sharing a piece of yourselves."
Special thanks to Tim Trono of Murphy's Magic for making this incredible evening happen.
